2030 Agenda: sustainable development

The Nivi Group faces the challenge of sustainable development with a 'you print we plant' reforestation project that promotes seven goals of the 2030 Agenda aimed at economic growth, social inclusion and environmental protection.
GOAL 3 HEALTH AND WELL-BEING - Ensure health and wellbeing for all and for all ages
GOAL 6 CLEAN WATER AND SANITATION SERVICES - Ensure the availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all
GOAL 11 SUSTAINABLE CITIES AND COMMUNITIES - - Make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, long-lasting and sustainable
GOAL 13 ACT FOR CLIMATE - Promote action, at all levels, to fight against climate change
GOAL 15 LIFE ON EARTH - Protect, restore and promote sustainable use of the Earth's ecosystem
GOAL 17 PARTNERSHIP FOR GOALS - Strengthen means of implementation and renew the global partnership for sustainable development

PrintReleaf is the world's first global reforestation platform for paper products, a system that accurately measures our company's paper consumption and compensates for the number of trees felled to produce it with the equivalent number of reforested trees.
The Nivi Group chooses where to reforest its consumption through a network of PrintReleaf Certified ™ Global Reforestation Projects.
From 14/03/2019 to 31/03/2022 the Nivi Group offset the consumption of paper by planting 1145 reforestation trees in an area of Madagascar, one of the most threatened ecosystems on the planet, where more than 80% of forests have disappeared and 90% of the endemic species live or depend heavily on the forest.
From 01/04/2022 to 31/01/2023 the Nivi Group has joined a new reforestation project in the Dominican Republic, in which farmers from the cross-border region and from the communities of the central region resort to cutting down trees as a source of income or to clear the land in order to cultivate it. This deforestation leads to soil depletion, water pollution and greater vulnerability to natural disasters.
As of 01/02/2023, the new site of the reforestation project has been set up in France, in an area of probable drought risk, to restore a degraded forest ecosystem and a rich and diverse biodiversity. The aim is to increase the quality of ecosystem services provided by the reinstated forest, including regulation of the water cycle. Although there is no real deforestation in Europe, 40% of tree species are threatened with extinction. In French forests, 20% are subject to numerous dangers each year (storms, fires and diseases caused by some 500 species of insects and pathogenic fungi), while 50% will be exposed to a high risk of fire by 2050. This project will bring a multitude of invaluable services for the climate, the environment and citizens.
As of 31/07/2023, the reforestation project also continues in Tanzania, particularly in the area surrounding the Pangani River Basin, an ecosystem characterized by extraordinary biodiversity, home to countless species of plants, birds, reptiles and mammals, many of them unique in the world. The basin is also home to millions of people, whose survival, in terms of food and income, depends entirely on this land.
As of 16/02/2024, the Nivi Group has offset the company's paper consumption by planting a total of 1718 trees.
